Follow Up To Kelo v. New London
Soon after the June 23rd U.S. supreme Court decision in Kelo v. New London that will result in the loss of private property rights across America, both the U.S. Senate and House have had bills introduced to offset this terrible and unconstitutional court decision.
In the Senate, you will find S 1313 Protection of Homes, Small Businesses, and Private Property Act of 2005 introduced in Senate on June 27th. It has been referred to the judiciary committee where it now sits.
In the House, you will find HR 3083 and Hr 3087 - also both named Protection of Homes, Small Businesses, and Private Property Act of 2005 introduced by two different representatives (Rep. Dennis R. Rehberg of Montana and Rep. Phil Gingrey of Georgia, respectively). Both bills were referred to the House Committee of the Judiciary.
And that is where all three bills sit! In committee!
What I can't understand is this: How on Earth could it take so long to decide to pass a bill to overcome and undue the blatant unconstitutional acts of the U.S. supreme Court justices in Kelo v. New London? Where the hell is George Bush and company in all of this? I don't remember hearing one little peep out of him on this subject. Why no loud cries for the impeachment and ousting of those justices who chose to obfuscate the Constitution and disregard We The People? Better yet, they need to be tried for treason and if found guilty (DUH!) imprison them for life - no ifs, ands or butts.
I thought the President and Congress are to act and work on "We The People's" behalf! (What a joke!)
For all of you die hard Democants and Republicants out there - Do you see this picture? Do you hear the silence from our "leadership"?
I am all for impeaching and ousting ALL of their sorry asses - From the President on down with FEW exceptions! What do you say? Let's get busy!
