I realize today isn't the presidential election...
and I'm not in want of a heavy discussion about the unfairness of the whole political arena at large - BUT - it IS Super Tuesday and quite an important day in the lives of politicos who are trying to get to the White House. My point is I noticed that ABC was up to its old tricks again in announcing various east coast winners BEFORE the central and west polls had closed. I suspect that the other networks followed suit. It is extremely poor taste and poor judgment in my view. It's not that everyone was asea about who would be triumphant today. It isn't about one party over another. It's not about one candidate vs another. But it IS the principle of the matter in my view. Sheeple will root for the underdog but will in all likelihood vote for the top dog. It's damn unfair for the biased media to tilt the tables this way. The sheeple are too easily swayed. We cannot allow this form of aiding and abetting the top dog (or their dog of choice) to persist.

For Better Or For Worse - I'm Baaaaack!
I'm finally back off of the road and my butt is basically planted in the Twin Cities again. I've had more than plenty of time to do some soul searching, some deep thinking about what we are trying to accomplish here in blogland and some very interesting criticism from my best friend. He has been watching us in blogsville for some time - a look from the outside in. I will share his insights with you all in the next day or so.

A Baby Step In The Right Direction?

This CONSERVATIVE ALERT prepared for Jim Paulson:

ISSUE: Are you sick of seeing liberal judges spitting
in the face of federalism, reversing the will of the
people and writing their own leftist laws from the
bench, especially when it comes to public expressions
of faith in God?

So are we... and apparently, so are some of our friends
in Congress.

Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL) and Sen. Richard Shelby
(R-AL) have introduced the "Constitution Restoration
Act" (H.R. 3799 and S. 2082), a bill which reinforces
states rights by clarifying that the Supreme Court and
district courts do not have jurisdiction to hear cases
brought against a federal, state or local government or
officer for acknowledging God as the sovereign source
of law, liberty, or government.

Over the years, we have seen a disturbing and growing
trend in our federal courts to deny the rights of our
states and our citizens to acknowledge God openly and
freely. These tortured legal decisions distort our
constitution, our nation's history and its tradition in
an effort to secularize our system of government and
divest morality from our rule of law.

Four years ago, the Supreme Court determined that
students could not engage in voluntary prayer at a school
football game. Last year, the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals ruled that it was unconstitutional to recite the
words "one Nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance,
and a district court in the state of Alabama ruled it
was unconstitutional to display the Ten Commandments.

It is the duty of the Congress, under Article III, to
regulate the appellate jurisdiction of the U.S. Supreme
Court and other federal courts. This is a check on the
Judicial Branch to prevent it from exceeding its
jurisdiction. The "Constitution Restoration Act" would
preserve and restore the acknowledgment of God to our law
and government.

Whether it is a public display of the Ten Commandments,
the Pledge of Allegiance in the classroom, or a nativity
scene at Christmas, all would be protected from liberal
judicial activists by this legislation.

Commentator Chuck Baldwin (NewsWithViews.com) calls this
"the most important legislation in fifty years."
Conservatives across America need to demand that their
legislators SUPPORT these bills, to start taking BACK
the territory that these liberal activist judges have
taken.

ACTION ITEM: The "Constitution Restoration Act",
introduced at a press conference with Judge Roy Moore
(who was himself a victim of this type of judicial
overreach), would require the federal courts to operate
within the jurisdiction given to them by the United States
Constitution as it pertains to the public acknowledgment
of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, and
government.

There is simply no doubt that the Courts have exceeded
their power. This legislation recognizes the rights of the
states and the people as embodied in the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution (ninth and tenth
amendments) to acknowledge God.

Senators support H.R. 3799 and S. 2082, the "Constitution
Restoration Act":

NOTE: As Chuck Baldwin said, "For the last fifty years,
federal courts have run roughshod over the Constitution.
For all practical purposes, America is now controlled by
a tyrannical oligarchy of federal judges." It's time to
bring that to an end. Be sure to forward this e-mail to
everyone you know who wants to see the beginning of the
end for these liberal judicial activists. Thank you!
