Alabamans Win Over Taxing Tyrant But Now...
(sniff, sniff) comes the unconscienable, intolerable, inaccurate drivel from the losing politician.

How sad it is that from America's smallest town councils right up to our capitol hill spendthrifts - upon losing on a tax hike deal that the postgame rhetoric for our government officials is all about the same threats. "...well you know since we couldn't pass this tax bill, the people of (pick a location) will have to do with less police and fire services and maybe less garbage removal too. And of course we'll have to cut welfare benefits as well." HOW DARE THEY!

First, how stupid do they think we are? Hmm, well looking at the number of sheeple, let's skip past this one for now. Second how dare they cut public services but none of their own little cash cows like per diem pay, government car fleets to drive who knows where, cutbacks in every conceivable holiday, excess staff/aides, stuffed operating budgets.

As a matter of fact, how about destaffing something like the dept of motor vehicles and reducing the requirements to license etc. to commercial vehicles only! (There is plenty of U.S. Supreme court and other state court case law to back up the fact that personal driver's licenses and vehicle licenses are not required anyway. Travel falls under your right to "...life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Specifically liberty - according to the courts. Only by color of law is the requirement to license personal driving and private vehicles possible. Few of us fight for THIS freedom, however.)

How about reducing any new government buildings built to plain old cinder block construction with a decent paint job and standardized desks, work cubes, lighting, etc. I don't see the humor or use in spending tens of millions or more per building for "look good" design. Will a government office or service building not function if it doesn't have scads of tax dollars in fanciness, fluff and gadgets? - Still wanting a government job?

You see now you'd be talking some common sense and real cost savings measures besides, in my humble opinion. And with the change in departments like the DMV, we'd see less government and more freedom for "we the people".

Attention: All loser politicians with your false rhetoric and condescending manner: Please stop p_ssing in our oatmeal! We've had enough of your bull! How about getting on with some real work "for the people" so we don't have to replace your lameness in the next election or recall!

Happy Birthday!
To Gene Chapman 37 and my Mom 81! Hope you both have many more happy and healthy days ahead!

Amazing Insight
Thank you Allen Hacker for your amazing insight today. I don't know if you're blessed or cursed to have such vision and be able to convey it us. Now I don't know if I'm blessed or cursed because I truly understood it and can actually see the forest through the trees! :-o

Another Absolute Assault on Your Freedom
Another version of the mark of the beast is upon us in the name of safety in this article. This should anger practically everyone except perhaps the "sheeple" that Cherie Goodyear talks about today. People, think this article through real well because you may be on Big Brother's red list just because of your dissenting thoughts about your government! Or maybe, for even less a sin than that! Damn Scary and MUST be vehemently opposed!!!

Quite observant! Give it much thought and it could be quite scary!

The number of physicians in the US is 700,000.

Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year is 120,000.

Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

(US Dept. of Health & Human Services)

Now consider this:

The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000.

The number of accidental gun deaths per year is 1,500.

The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188.

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous Than gun owners.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets out of hand.

As a public health measure, I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear that the shock could cause people to seek medical attention

I'm Baffled!
I know, I know, I know that doesn't surprise most of you BUT..... I'm trying to figure out why Irwin Schiff's website hasn't been updated to accept sales, again IF in fact he got a STAY on the preliminary injunction. Or maybe I'm just impatient! I just figure he'd be back in the saddle selling his great books by now!

Candie Goodyear
You know, you're probably right . Maybe we should rename the "Lady" on Liberty Island in Upper New York Bay - the "Budinski Bitch of America" or "Our Lady of Loose Borders". Both names are accurate and kinda have a ring to them - don't you think? I'm only kidding about the renaming her of course. But I still want to see the day when the U.S. stays home and works on securing our own borders instead of constantly meddling and offending someone else's borders.

Doug Kenline
No sense giving up on the IRS correspondence now! They're just getting a good start. Probably have a fresh batch of trouble making clerks that don't know any better and they're off to prove to their boss just how good they are. You just can't give up and rollover THAT easy, Doug because that is precisely what they want you to do! Fall over, chicken out, give up and cut a deal with them. I say BS to that! Heck, I'm still getting letters after 9 years of screwing with them! Matter of fact, I just got two new ones the other day myself. The nice thing was that for the first time in a long time there is actually a real human being who actually signed this correspondence! And someone that I can contact instead of those damn unsigned form letters. I'm happy as can be that I have someone specific to contact now! He probably won't be too happy about dealing with me after awhile though he just doesn't know it yet.

It has some good info in it but fails to notate that Social Security on its face is a Ponzi scheme. And that is a problem the politicians will have with it forever - until we see an end to it!

Your ? Social Security

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the federal government to "put away," you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which party took Social Security from an independent fund and put it in the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic-controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which party put a tax on Social Security?

A: The Democratic party.

Q: Which party increased the tax on Social Security?
A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

Q: Which party decided to give money to immigrants?
A: That's right, immigrants moved into this country and at 65 got SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid a dime into it. Then, after doing all this, the Democrats turn around and tell you the Republicans want to take your Social Security.

And the worst part about it is, people believe it!

Pass it on please!

2004 Election Issue: This must be an issue in "04". Please! Keep it going.

SOCIAL SECURITY:

(This is worth the read. It's short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years. Our Senators and Congress men &women do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die, except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments.

For example, former Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275,000.00 during the last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $00.00. Nada. Zilch.

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds-our tax dollars at work!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into-every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer) --we can expect to get an average $1,000 per month after retirement. Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us ... then sit back and watch how fast they would fix it.

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

Dubya Speaks About That Darn Axis of Evil Again
Did you happen to catch the President's speech last night? If not, don't feel bad, it doesn't sound like very many of your fellow American's tuned in. It was dull with the subject matter as expected.
What I got out of it: (1) By God (or by Bush) we ARE going to continue to spend tens of billions of dollars on the war on terror and against the "axis of evil" no matter what YOU think. (2) Bush will ask Congress for $87 billion here shortly. From the Congressional response that I've seen so far, they will vote to approve this expenditure no matter what YOU think. It will be harder for the Dems to rail against supporting Bush in this money matter/war effort effectively now that Bush has brought it to "the people". (3) Colin Powell is being directed to go out and seek willing countries through the U.N. (preferably) for help in rebuilding Iraq and for funds to help offset the U.S.'s expenditures - as any loan shark would do when he wants to call in a marker. I doubt it will be an easy task finding willing participants (France, Germany, China especially) to help the U.S. out in "the war" unless it's done their way. (4) Don't expect much $$$ support from our supposed allies aside from those that are already participating in "the war". (5) Do expect a whole lot of the usual carping and wrangling from the usual U.N. pains in the a__.

I often wonder if it's possible that in our future, we will do like Switzerland has for decades and stay out of everyone else's business thereby avoid most conflict. Including the incredible amount of cash we give away to countries all over the world annually. The money that ultimately gets us into trouble later on when we try hold our "gifts" over a country's head unless they do/act as we want them to. Hey! Let's put that money in to protecting our country, sealing our leaky borders and promoting legitimate world trade practices instead.
